The rubber and shoe factories owned by Georges Elias Trabulsi and his brothers, which are considered the largest factories of their kind in the whole Mexican Republic. We shall bring readers some details and pictures of them in a coming issue.
We say that we need an industrial renaissance. In fact, if the various factories of the Lebanese overseas were gathered together and founded anew in mother Lebanon, they would make of Lebanon an industrial country no less than Manchester or Detroit.
And we have hope, after that historic message which His Excellency the President of the country addressed to the emigrants, that some of our sons among the giants of industry in the Mahjar will think of returning to their homeland to establish the work in
which they have gained experience and in which they have shone. Perhaps that means is the best means, and the fairest means, of bringing about the industrial renaissance we seek. And it pleases The Woman's Voice to have begun gathering information about some of
these Lebanese industries outside Lebanon, so that its readers may have a clear idea of what the Lebanese can do, and has done, when circumstances favor him.
