Results of the Lebanese Women's League Elections

The Lebanese Women's League held a session at the Ahliah School on January 12, 1946, the purpose of which was the election of the president and the administrative committee.

The minutes of the previous session were read and the election proceedings began; and while the names were being decided, Mrs. Anissa Najjar delivered a talk on the Health Committee.

Then Miss Ibtihaj Kaddoura read the results of the elections, which resulted in the re-election of Mrs. Heneni Tarcha as president — she won the presidency by acclamation — and the following ladies won membership on the administrative board: Adal Alameddine, Ellen Rihan, Salwa Mahmasani, Laure Tabet, and Emily Fares Ibrahim. It is worth mentioning that the elections were conducted in complete order and calm. We congratulate the Lebanese Women's League on this fine result of the elections, and we wish it continued success in all the charitable and social works it carries out.
