A Blessed Marriage

زواج مبارك

Telegraphic dispatches have brought us the glad tidings of the marriage of the rising young man Mr. Nadim Dimashqiyah, commercial attaché at the Lebanese Legation in London, to the cultured and refined young lady Miss Margaret Sherlock, of an old and distinguished English family.

The marriage rites were performed at the House of Arab Culture and then at the Lebanese Legation, in the presence of a select company of Lebanese and foreign friends, admirers of the virtues of the two noble newlyweds.

In appreciation of the efforts of our distinguished bridegroom, and of the activity and the commendable national services he performs, His Excellency the Minister Hamid Bey Frangieh, head of the Lebanese delegation, gave a splendid dinner party in honor of the couple at Claridge's Hotel, attended by ministers, members of the Arab delegations, and a number of respected personalities.

As we wish our enterprising compatriot and his well-bred bride a happy marriage joined with felicity and success, we offer to his honorable father, the well-known notable Badr Bey, and to his mother, the great woman of letters Mrs. Julia, our most sincere expressions of congratulation and blessing, wishing the bride and groom sons, a life of plenty, and length of days.
