A Playwriting Competition

Word has come to us from the Arab Club in Aleppo that it has set a competition for the best stage play: the first winner will be granted five hundred liras, the second three hundred, and the third two hundred. Entries must reach the club before April 29; their language must be simple classical Arabic; and the judging committee will meet on May 3 to announce the names of the winners.
