A Medical Society in the South — Dr. Osseiran Elected President

A meeting was held in Sidon, attended by a large number of the physicians of South Lebanon — Sidon, Tyre, Nabatiyeh, Jezzine, Marjayoun — at which it was resolved to found a medical society, named the Society of the Physicians of South Lebanon. In the course of the meeting a board was elected to represent them, composed of the following physicians:

Dr. Fouad Osseiran: president
Hanna al-Haddad: vice-president
Riad Chehab: treasurer
Khalil al-Chami: secretary
Dia al-Shamali: counselor
Bahjat al-Mirza:

It was also resolved in the course of the meeting to draw up the society's statutes and submit them to the government to obtain the legal license.
