The Most Famous Stars of 1946

أشهر الكواكب لعام ١٩٤٦

Beginning this summer, the famous Dr. Gallup — with his emissaries, his inspectors, and the men of his famous company — has been polling Americans of every class on the most famous films of 1946 and the most famous stars, men and women. New films may yet appear to change the course of public opinion before the year's end, but so far the poll has covered two-thirds of those questioned. Should something new appear in the world of the cinema, the remaining third of the votes would carry the new trend. Dr. Gallup's institutes possess precise statistical methods, built on a scientific system, that cannot cheat any film of its due.

Dr. Gallup expects that the winner for 1946 among the women will be one of five: Betty Grable, Greer Garson, Bette Davis, Judy Garland, Ingrid Bergman.

He expects that the first winner among the men will be one of five: Van Johnson, Bing Crosby, Gary Cooper, Clark Gable, Spencer Tracy. And in the second rank, with a large share of success, come the famous stars: Claudette Colbert, Betty Hutton, Margaret O'Brien, Ginger Rogers, Lana Turner.
