After the doctor has finished the necessary treatments, the mother gives herself over to labor calmly and without pain — she can even drink tea and listen to the radio with full attention.

Thus the difference appears very great indeed between this modern method of delivery and the old method so full of pains.

Finally the mother is moved to the operating room, where she bears her child naturally, in an atmosphere ruled by cheerfulness and delight. And so she receives her baby with gentleness, tenderness, and peace of mind, which makes childbirth a pleasure beyond description.
