Advice of the Month

نصائح الشهر

For You Yourself

If each one of you, madam, resolved never to criticize her neighbors and acquaintances except when she knows that this criticism of hers will actually straighten some crookedness in her acquaintances, she would be rid of a great many troubles and would live in a serene atmosphere.

Your Husband

Do not forget that a man getting ready in the morning to go to his work is always in a hurry, and nothing is more vexing than for a husband to ask you for a pair of socks or a shirt, only to find that his shirt has no button and his socks have had no "darning"... Beware of that.

For Your Children

Keep a firm grip on your feelings when you are scolding one of your children. No shouting! Authority does not need shouting in order to impose itself... Your calmness of spirit alone yields brilliant results.

For Your Happiness

Avoid family troubles and squabbles, and beware of uttering reckless words in front of your husband and your children.

And do not lay your private life bare before those whom such matters do not concern... People gloat.

For Your Health

In the seasons when grippe is going around, it is advisable to use garlic freely in your dishes, for garlic is an excellent disinfectant.
