How to Use "Evan Williams" Preparations to Beautify the Hair

كيفية استعمال مستحضرات «ايفان وليمز» لتجميل الشعر

(Continued) Lesson Seven

The second method: First apply to your hair the ordinary henna shampoo from the "Evan Williams" preparations. If your hair is short, use only half the shampoo, placing it in a vessel, adding about half a glass of warm water to it, and stirring continuously; then rub your hair well with the resulting mixture and wash it with warm water. But if your hair is long, use the entire contents of the henna packet, as set out in the first lesson.

Place the contents of the green packet (the henna) in a porcelain vessel or in a glass and add to it about two tablespoons of hot (not boiling) water; then mix it well so as to form a sticky paste, and set the vessel of paste in a small pot holding some hot water, so that the paste stays warm. With a small brush, apply the paste to the gray hair only, down to its roots, using more of the paste on the hairs that are grayest; then cover your head with brown paper or an old towel to keep in the warmth, and leave the paste on your hair for the times given in the table below — this depends on the natural color of your hair not yet touched by gray, and on the amount of gray in the grayed portion of your hair.

Medium brown: 20–30 minutes. Ordinary dark brown: 30–45 minutes. Very dark brown: 40–60 minutes. Black: one to two hours.

After that, wash your hair with plenty of warm water, and finally wash it with the ordinary henna shampoo from the "Evan Williams" preparations, found in the white packets. The color will not show in full until 24 hours have passed.

Do not put henna on your hair if you have previously applied some other preparation to it; rather, let it grow out sufficiently and let the gray appear in it, and then use "Evan Williams" henna, applying it to the new hair only..

And if the gray in your hair is on the increase, then use the special Tunisian henna from the "Evan Williams" preparations.

Glamour in your hair
