Weddings — Simaan — Abu Shahla

افراح — سمعان — ابي شهلا

Last month the marriage was celebrated of Miss Widad, daughter of the great man of letters Mr. Michel Abu Shahla, owner of "al-Jumhur," to Mr. Skandar Simaan.

The wedding was the delight of the season, where the pick of society gathered — ladies and young ladies of Beirut's upper class. It also brought together a number of ministers, friends of the owner of al-Jumhur, countrymen and foreigners alike, and a company of men of business, politics, and the press.

To the two gracious newlyweds our congratulations, and our sincere wishes that they may enjoy a life of comfort and plenty.

• The rejoicings were completed in the Jaroudi family with the marriage of their daughter, the highly refined Miss Nadima Jaroudi, to the polished young man Bashir Rawwas, on Saturday, December 10. After a short tour through the hills of Lebanon, the bride and groom left for Europe, where they will spend their honeymoon between Italy and France. The magazine The Woman's Voice extends its congratulations to the honorable Jaroudi family, wishing the newlyweds lasting happiness and glory.
