رعاية الطفل

The Lebanese branch of the International Union for Child Welfare held a reception at its office in Ras Beirut on the occasion of the visit of the Secretary-General of the International Union for Child Welfare, Mr. Georges Thélin, and his Madame. The reception was attended by a company of ladies and gentlemen acquainted with children's affairs in Lebanon, and it passed in an atmosphere of understanding and affection...

Mr. Georges Thélin and his Madame, accompanied by Mr. George Shahla and Mrs. Oland Bitani, then paid a visit to the child-welfare home belonging to the Lebanese Child-Welfare Society, where they were received by the society's president, Mrs. Zahia Salman, and a number of its lady members. Mr. Thélin admired the order, system, and cleanliness he saw there, and praised the efforts the Child-Welfare Society continues to expend to bring cheer to the destitute child.

The visitors then listened to songs and poems from the children, delivered with the utmost excellence and fine performance.
