You will find the names of ten girls, and you are asked to distribute them over the squares just as the name "Anisa" has been distributed. You will notice that you have already solved a competition like this one, under the title "The Crossword of Columbus's Voyage," in last June's issue.
The girls' names: Afaf, Aniya, Rayya, Suad, Muna, Farida, Hala, Lama, Najad, Raad.
Take a sheet of paper and draw upon it, as you see here, these two columns of rectangles. Copy the word-syllables just as they stand in the first column, then search out the other syllable that matches each one and write it opposite it, and you will obtain the names of some fruits that
you love.
Column 1: in-, mish-, mu-, bat-, bu-, khu-, -tqal, aki- Column 2: -z, -ikh, -b, -kh, -t, -dunya, -tqal, -mish
And here draw two more columns and solve this puzzle as you solved the one before, and you will obtain the names of some animals that you know.
Column 1: ka-, a-, hi-, ja-, zara-, hisa-, sul-, qir-
Column 2: -rra, -mal, -fa, -b, -sad, -d, -n, -hfa
