Curiosities (Royal Wedding Rings — Young Men Learn to Cook)

طرائف (خواتم الزواج الملكية — شبان يتعلمون الطبخ)

★ Wedding rings for the English royal family are made from the gold of the county of Wales in England. When Princess Elizabeth, heir to the throne of England, became engaged, the people of Wales presented her with a quantity of gold for the making of the wedding ring, and the quantity proved more than was needed. Whereupon Princess Elizabeth said: "Very well, we shall keep some for Margaret!"

★ Twenty-one young men have registered their names at Austin How College in Chicago to learn, along with medicine and engineering, the art of cooking... They went down to the university kitchen in the company of the girls to put what they had learned into practice, and when they were asked the reason for their taking up the art of cooking they answered: "To help our future wives!"
