★ Madame Sablouth, of Fouchin in northern France, has reached her one hundred and twelfth year, so the papers have given her the title "Mother of Europe"; and in her picture she looks as though she were sixty years old.

★ In a recent survey by the Gallup Institute in America, it appeared that the proportion of women in both civil and military aviation in Europe and America has risen above 12 percent.
