Styling Short Hair

It is the coiffure best suited to summer, and it is enough that it takes no more than two minutes of your time each morning, in these hot days.

...First the hair is wetted; then the hairdresser thins and shortens it with his scissors, making the length between one and three inches; then he rubs it with a strengthening cream before beginning the coiffure — this special kind of cream being Bel Apple. After that the hair becomes soft and sweet-smelling. In the drawings shown you see how to arrange the pins by which the position of the waves is fixed, and how the curled locks and their waved ends are to lie. You can arrange your hair yourself, but you must remember that cutting the hair in the manner described is essential to this coiffure.

If a little natural curl remains in your hair after the cutting, you will need neither this setting nor the rolling of your hair. But if your hair looks smooth and stands stiff, it will need a little waving at the ends. And when you comb or brush it you will see the advantage of short hair, which looks lovely without a single pin, and it will spare you standing before the mirror for an hour before bedtime.
