Freedom and equality between the sexes are among the things necessary for the advancement of mankind; and woman, as a human being, is not beneath man, and therefore she must share these rights with him.

The success of society depends upon the extent of cooperation between men and women, so as to bring out their full personalities and to fulfill their responsibilities toward themselves and toward one another. Therefore woman has an important part in the building of a moral, free, and sound society — and she cannot carry out this task of hers in the fullest manner unless she herself is a free and responsible member.
