Tarek, Firstborn of Mr. Youssef al-Khal

• Do you know who this little fellow is, who will not consent to hold his rattles except two at a time? He is Tarek, the firstborn of Mr. Youssef al-Khal, who headed the editing of "The Woman's Voice" for several years, guiding it and nourishing it from his heart and soul with the idealism of the idealist poet!

Mr. Youssef al-Khal is now in New York at the head of a large commercial office! Is it not strange that the idealist poet should become a merchant — and in New York?!

The literary world of Lebanon misses the poet al-Khal, and wishes him a speedy return to his homeland, with his sweet "Tarek"... and Tarek's mother!!

Child Care

The "Child Care" Society, headed by Mrs. Nimat Qaranful, will hold a "kermess" on Saturday, April 25, at the American University Alumni Club, Bliss Street — Ras Beirut. The members of Child Care will be assisted in conducting the events of the party by a bouquet of students of Beirut College for Women. "The Woman's Voice" urges its gracious readers to encourage this project by taking their children to the kermess on the appointed day, in the service of the hundreds of deprived children who will benefit from the proceeds of this party.

The Marriage of Miss Karam Tanir to Young Tarek Shouman

• Among the joys of the past month was the marriage of Miss Karam Tanir to the young Tarek Shouman.

On the occasion of their departure to spend the honeymoon in Egypt, the bride's parents, Mr. Abd al-Qadir al-Tanir and his wife, invited a select company of family and friends to a delightful family party.

After the bride and groom's return from Egypt, the three days from the 20th to the 23rd of this month were appointed for congratulations, and the friends of

both families are still calling on them at their new home on Sidani Street, Ras Beirut.

The family of "The Woman's Voice," which counts itself among their close friends, offers its warmest heartfelt congratulations to the two young newlyweds, wishing them happiness, health, and the enduring love that is the foundation of all bliss and felicity!! It wishes them, too, certain other things that round out happiness... which we shall not mention here, lest modesty flood their two young faces!

Vicks VapoRub

A gentle rub for treating colds

Vicks VapoRub

"For the gentle rub"

Your child will get relief in two direct ways when you rub his chest and neck with this gentle salve, Vicks VapoRub, at bedtime. Its germ-destroying ingredients relieve the cold and calm the cough. And its warming action through the skin, like the action of a poultice, soothes his tight, aching chest.
