★ We publish the picture of the sweet little Amal Joudi Nowayhed, of the community in Venezuela, on the occasion of her fifth birthday. At a grand party given by her generous father, the following verses flowed from the tongue of our poet Mr. Fouad al-Hashan, dedicated to little Amal:
My dream flutters
in an enchanted world,
Shining, like my name, with "hope,"
embroidered with light;
The roses draw their purity
from my pure heart,
And drink their sweet-scented
perfume from my own;
It is said of me: a flower
from the world of flowers.
