The Guidance Association in Latakia

★ Among the news of woman in Latakia: a company of cultivated young women—its members the Misses Souad Raif Haroun, Isam Hakim, Sulayma Haroun, Samira Hafiz, Nadima Huriyya, Umayma Azhari, Salwa Azhari, and Huda Kayyal—have banded together, and they have ended by founding "the Guidance Association," whose great task will be to spread learning and to combat ignorance among women in general and among poor adolescent girls in particular. It has drawn up a clear program containing its agenda of works in the various fields of activity.
