were conducted according to the Catholic rites; the bride's matron of honor was Mrs. Antoinette, wife of Dr. Awwad, and the groom's best man was Mr. Shukri Shammas, one of the owners of the Contracting and Trading Company.
The Woman's Voice congratulates the young bride and groom, wishing them a long life ruled by happiness and contentment.
• This child is "Fouad," son of the magazine's friend Mr. Mukhtar Shamli. We publish his picture on the
occasion of his reaching his fifth year on June 24. His father celebrated his birthday amid a gathering of family and children.
To little Fouad go the warmest congratulations of The Woman's Voice.
• The Medical Students' Society at the American University of Beirut has organized a trip to Europe for one month, beginning July 21. A full program has been drawn up for the trip, with visits to ancient sites and famous cities, and it has reached our ears that the number of those who have registered their names has come to 34, among them twenty ladies, of whom we know Mrs. Anissa Rawda Najjar and Mr. Michel Khalifeh and his wife Mrs. Najla — both ladies being among our gracious subscribers. We wish everyone a successful journey and refreshment of soul and body on this delightful trip, and we remind
Mrs. Anissa Najjar of her promise to us to favor The Woman's Voice with an illustrated report on the trip to Europe — until we meet again in the next issue.
