Beautiful Oriental curios The Oriental rugs made by the refugees found great favor A linens table whose patrons never thinned out
• Saturday afternoon, March 19, was one of West Hall's crowded days, for a charity bazaar was held in its public hall, its proceeds set aside to send poor girls who lack adequate nourishment to the nutrition camp of the Young Women's Christian Association at Dhour el-Choueir.
This bazaar was put on by a group of the young women of Ras Beirut
— office employees and women working in the liberal professions — a group that forms, in Ras Beirut, one of the branches of the Young Women's Christian Association.
The bazaar held this year was among the most delightful of the charity bazaars held in Beirut. Old and young frequented it and enjoyed it alike. The material result of the bazaar was good; as for the moral result, its benefits are beyond counting. The president of the branch in question told us: "We are proud of the experience we have gained from the joint work we carried out; the benefit of this experience to the members of our branch is great, and in truth it equals the benefit that the poor girls will reap from the nutrition camp this summer."
