Dr. Hasan Zayn and his bride Ibtihaj Qazoun
In the middle of last month the marriage contract was concluded of Miss Ibtihaj Qazoun, daughter of the late Dr. Jawdat Qazoun, to Dr. Hasan Zayn, doctor of psychology, resident in Switzerland.
The bride is now in the final stage of her pharmacy studies at the American University of Beirut, and will join her husband after the mid-year examinations, when she will enter the University of Geneva to obtain her pharmacy degree there...
And in Geneva, too, she will spend the honeymoon in the embrace of enchanting nature, and make the acquaintance of married life... returning every summer to the hills of the homeland...
'The Woman's Voice' extends its warmest congratulations to the family, and especially to our friend the bride's mother, Mrs. Adiba Kaddoura Qazoun, and wishes the two young newlyweds a long life clothed in love and harmony, and a happy home whose air nothing shall trouble but a flock of little ones!!!

• 'The Arab Women's Union in Jerusalem' is one of the five unions — Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan — all of which are embraced by the General Arab Women's Union, whose seat is now Beirut, under the presidency of Miss Ibtihaj Kaddoura.
The Arab Women's Union in Jerusalem has issued a detailed statement of the works it accomplished during the past year.
The members of the Union, headed by Miss Zulaykha al-Shihabi, have labored for the success of its center for child welfare and the care of expectant mothers — a center which has never ceased to fill a wide gap in the very body of our social fabric.
Dr. Amin Salih Majaj examines one of the children at the center for child welfare and the care of expectant mothers.
There is no doubt that the field of social and humanitarian service lies broad before woman in that region — and the women of the sister country do well to open their eyes to their principal responsibilities and duties. Especially now, after part of the moral shackle has been loosed and the way opened before the educated woman to exercise some of her political right... May this step be a starting point for works wider still and of farther-reaching importance..
A magazine for our children will appear with this issue of The Woman's Voice, on the second of November — and educational and journalistic elements combine to guarantee that Dunya al-Ahdath will be a magazine the first of its kind, concerned with building the child's personality on modern scientific foundations.
"For years," says its founder, Mrs. Loreen Shoucair Rihani, "I have been eager to establish a magazine for the young, pained by our want in this vital and important field. And I have every hope that Dunya al-Ahdath will meet with encouragement — every encouragement — in all our Arab circles."
The management will attend to good distribution, so that the magazine appears on time and is distributed regularly to all schools and bookshops — We wish our new colleague circulation and prosperity.
