Talks from the Heart

احاديث من القلب

A benevolent outpouring of national literature, if the name may be allowed, from the pen of Mrs. Asma Tubi. Most of it consists of intimate meditations inspired by the great tragedy of Palestine, or of the thoughts and views of a militant woman of letters who has taken proud stands over the shattered society and the shattered homeland, set down faithfully by her devoted pen.. for history.

The Village Poet introduced the book, saying:
"I see the specter of the catastrophe looking out from every one of your talks. And I find a spray of the blood of your wounded heart on every path along which your pen has run..."

And he describes the author's writing thus:
"Asma's literature rests upon ardent feeling and measured thought, not upon the decorated balloons of a feast-day and painted soap-bubbles. And besides its delicacy, its fluency, and its sweetness, it is rich in life, warmth, and light — as though its lines were silver wires connected to the motor of the heart from which they sprang and from which they issued."

"Talks from the Heart" by Asma Tubi is one manifestation of woman's literary patriotism, of which we boast because it has become... a rare piece indeed.
