The Wedding of the Month

The invitation issued on the first of April to the wedding of the engineer Rabah al-Husseini and Miss Ilham Abdel Fattah Mikati was no "April fool"! Especially since the wedding celebration was held in the hall of the Saint-Georges!!

The bride stepped down from the automobile and advanced with measured grace in her procession, appearing a very marvel of beauty, surrounded by little children, with baskets of lilies and roses on either side of her. As for her magnificent gown,

it was designed by the famous Pierre Balmain.

Some 500 persons attended the celebration, among them official and civil personalities, friends and family. The orchestra played soft classical pieces without clamor or din, while the guests came and went at the sumptuous buffet in a decorous and elegant atmosphere.

It is worth mentioning that the bride holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the American University, and that she has traveled with her bridegroom to Riyadh, his place of work and residence.

To the bride and groom and their honored families, our warmest congratulations and good wishes. (See the cover picture.)
