The Woman's Word — In Our New Era

كلمة المرأة - في عهدنا الجديد · ادفيك جريديني شيبوب

With this spring issue, after an absence of a single month, the magazine "The Woman's Voice" begins a new era, anxious above all to remain, in the eyes of every lady, the magazine of the cultivated woman — the voice of her will, the defender of her cause and her rights.

The Woman's Voice, in its new era and in its new dress, is a sincere endeavor to win new friendships and good relations, among ourselves and with our sisters in every Arab country. It carries today, as it has for thirteen years, the message of "the Lebanese Women's League": to raise the standing of woman, and to strive for acquaintance and mutual understanding in solving our common problems in a spirit of harmony and affection.

Dear lady reader: our arrival at the distant goal cannot come about without cooperation and an exchange of views between you and us. And we are fully prepared to receive sincere suggestions and to act upon them, so as to make this magazine the companion of every refined Arab lady.

In our new era we look forward, with optimism and hope, to what is better and best; and in your active support, and in our faith in our message and our striving to fulfill it, we have the finest spur to success.

May God fulfill your hopes and the hopes of us all.
