As much as suffices of almonds, peeled and cut lengthwise with scissors into quarters, then toasted a little in the oven until golden. And as much as suffices of roasted, unsalted qudama, pounded or ground and sifted (or, instead of the qudama, ground pistachios or almonds)

Half a teaspoon of vanilla essence

Method: Beat the butter well until it whitens, then add the sugar gradually, alternating with the egg whites, and after that add the essence. Then add enough of the qudama flour for the mixture to thicken and become somewhat firm. Then take a little of the mixture and roll it in the palm of the hand until it takes the shape of a walnut. Then stick the pieces of almond into it, then sift fine sugar over it.

1 — Removing stains of blue and black ink

With a dropper, drop tincture of iodine on the spot of the stain only. Then leave it for half an hour. Then wash it with cold water, then with hot water and soap, and no trace of the stain will remain.

2 — Removing coffee stains

Take a towel and wet its end with cold water, then dab the coffee spot well, at once, as soon as the garment is soiled with the coffee, until the stain disappears. Then iron it with a hot iron, laying a dry rag over the place of the stain, and every trace will disappear.

3 — Removing dried coffee stains

Wet the stains with cold water, then rub them with borax, then pour boiling water over them from a height. But if the stain is of coffee with milk, wash it with cold water, then pour the boiling water over it from a height.
