The Home Beauty Treatment

5 — Here begins the circling motion, as it appears in the drawing, with the tips of the second and third fingers; let the motion be light, and lifting upward. Begin at the two sides of the mouth, moving toward the wings of the nose.

6 — Now comes the turn of the jaw line; over the hard bone you can work with greater vigor. And remember to dip your fingers in the cream or paste whenever you feel they have gone dry.

7 — In this, begin the forehead from the middle toward the two sides, and repeat the motion at different heights so as to pass over the whole region between the hair line and the eyebrows. These lines are very restful to the nerves of the head.

8 — Finally, repeat this circling motion over the two sides of the nose, moving from above downward; for there is a blood vessel there that may have grown sluggish or blocked, and this motion revives it.

9 — With the

middle finger of each hand, pat gently and quickly from the corner of the mouth to the sides of the nose. The gentler and quicker your patting, the better the result and the fresher the skin. And let your face remain calm and without strain.

10 — Now pat along the two sides of the jaw with your second fingers, as in the drawing. Let your motion always be an upward one, to keep from stretching the soft, highly sensitive skin.

11 — The most sensitive region of the face, without exception, is beneath the eyes. Here use your second and third fingers and pat softly and gently around the eye, moving from the inside outward in a half-circular motion.

12 — Finally, pat above the two ends of the eyebrows, from the inside, upward and then downward, as in the drawing; for this is the region of expression, where the early lines are quickest to be traced — give it, therefore, the

greatest care.

This home beauty operation should take fifteen minutes. Wipe off what remains of the cream on the face with Kleenex tissue. And you will notice how your face beams and glows with cleanliness and ease; for this beauty operation, for all its simplicity, erases most of the lines that have been traced here and there upon your face as a result of your emotions, the movements of your face, and your neglect to set them right. Try this operation now, and judge for yourself!

Beware of using just any kind of cream or paste, for their sorts are many, and each sort has its own action and effect, whether for benefit or for harm — especially where there are freckles, acne, or blackheads on the face. You must consult the specialists in the beauty salons before choosing the paste compound that suits your skin. You may obtain all technical consultations free of charge by applying to Miss Ashqar, proprietor of the "Foto-Beauté" salon, Hamra Street near the Plaza Hotel — as an encouragement to the readers of The Woman's Voice.
