The Woman's Voice Competition — One Thousand Lebanese Lira for the Most Beautiful Painting Depicting "The Lebanese Mother"

The Woman's Voice magazine announces to all Lebanese artists its grand art competition for the most beautiful painting representing "the Lebanese Mother," under the following conditions:

1 - Paintings are to be sent to the following address: The Woman's Voice magazine — the Bandaq Building, Agrippa Street, Hawuz al-Sa'atiyah — P.O. Box 3490, Beirut.

2 - The date of the competition and the announcement of the result will be at the Autumn Exhibition of Painting, November 1958.

3 - The result will be decided by the jury appointed by the exhibition committee together with The Woman's Voice.

4 - The magazine, together with the Arts Department of the Ministry of Education and Fine Arts, will award the creator of the winning painting a token prize of one thousand Lebanese lira (1,000 L.L.).

5 - The magazine shall have the right to ownership of the winning painting, to reproduce it in print, and to present copies of it to subscribers.

The Woman's Voice, which is deeply concerned to remain faithful to its pledge to all our mothers, appeals to Lebanese artists to answer this sincere and warm call, and to respond to it with all that sacred motherhood inspires of the most tender meanings and the loftiest sentiments.
