From England to New Zealand in 4 Days

من انكلترا إلى نيوزيلندا في ٤ أيام

The British aircraft "Lady of the Air," one of the fastest transport planes, has completed her journey, arriving in New Zealand after four days and some hours, in the course of which she covered 14,930 miles.

And there lately arrived in England the Lancastrian aircraft, after making a journey around the world in which she covered about 34,000 miles. The object of this journey was to study the problem of military air ports in all parts of the world.

Wing Commander McKinley, commander of the squadron of "Aries" aircraft which made flights at the beginning of 1945, with Lancaster planes, in the region of the North Pole, has declared that the Royal Air Force will make several more flights in this region.

In the address which he delivered before the Royal Geographical Society he said that some thirty thousand magnetic observations were recorded during these air journeys. This shows that at a height of fifteen thousand feet the magnetic pole lies at a distance of 300 miles northwest of its recognized position.
