The Faisal I Delegation in Beirut
بعثة فيصل الأول في بيروت
A delegation from Faisal I College in Baghdad arrived in Beirut last Saturday evening, numbering 28 students and seven professors, and they stayed as guests of the Lebanese government at the "Astoria" and "Savoy" hotels.
The Ministry of National Education had prepared a full program for the Iraqi delegation on Sunday, but the bad weather prevented its being carried out.
His Excellency the Prime Minister received them and spoke with its members about cultural cooperation among the Arab lands, welcoming them and the lofty mission whose banner they bear.
In the afternoon the delegation visited the School of Arts and Crafts and toured the capital; it also visited the great institutions of learning and the National Museum.
