From Mr. Atef Karam to the Editor-in-Chief of This Magazine

Atef Karam

من الأستاذ عاطف كرم إلى رئيس تحرير هذه المجلة · عاطف كرم

Mr. Atef Karam dedicated these splendid verses to Mr. Rushdi Ma'alouf on the occasion of his marriage:

Yours, from the world's tomorrow and from me,
all that life can hold of wishes —
a wedding dearer to all things lovely
than the birth of a thousand boughs.
Are you not one of Lebanon's breezes
on a morning serene?
Spring itself would reproach me if I
did not sing on your wedding day.
