Psychotique Takes a New Name... (Astrologique)

Astrologique

بسيكوتيك يتخذ لقباً جديداً ... (استرولوجيك) · استرولوجيك

Mr. Psychotique has decided to take a new name: "Astrologique," which in Arabic means "astrologer." So you may write to him, that this time he may tell you what the future holds in store for you.

The conditions are the same, but the following must be added to them: 1) the date of birth — year, month, day, hour, and minute if possible; 2) the color of the complexion; 3) the names of the parents; 4) the place of birth; 5) the occupation; 6) your hopes for the future. For the rest of the conditions, consult the past issues of "The Woman's Voice."

The replies to "Astrologique" are sent personally by mail, so kindly make the address clear. No reply will be sent unless the request is accompanied by the price of a year's subscription to the magazine.

Sh. R., Beirut — Souk al-Safafir
Truthful and optimistic, though selfish at times; for all that, she is kind-hearted to a far degree. Generous and far-sighted; her luck with people is small. A love marriage, far off; relative success in the future.

S. K. (Beirut)
Proud and withdrawn. Stubborn at times — so much so that this stubbornness puts her quite beside herself. Yet she is loved by some for these very qualities..... It would be better for her to soften the edge of her stubbornness..... A sudden marriage.

S. H. (Beirut)
Somewhat nervous, somewhat stubborn. You shy away from men..... yet if you drew near, your success among them would be assured..... You will meet with a sudden event on the first of January 1948, or a little after..... Then, after that date, your life will be wholly transformed and you will enter upon a new manner of living.

H. D. (Beirut)
A free nature; she knows how to fit in with society, yet she is reckless at times, for she mocks the opinions of others and looks only for what feeds her vanity. You must be on your guard: not everyone who shows you the signs of love is a true lover...

S. H. (Damascus)
Far-sighted to the point of philosophizing. She knows how to keep her position and her authority before others. Kind of heart and, for all that, naive to a far degree. Here is the interpretation of your dream about the spring and about

the gold and the diamonds:
Beware of marrying again in the period from the opening of 1947 until the end of spring 1948. If you marry, you will endanger your happiness, and perhaps something more important than happiness.

N. N. Sh. (Gaza)
Dual-natured — that is, understanding between you and others comes about easily. Yet you are at times selfish. It would be better for you to lessen your concern with other people, and to be more gracious, or "simple." It appears that your coming marriage will create a family misunderstanding.

M. W. (Aleppo)
Sensitive; hence you know how to turn people's eyes away from you. You adore beauty. A fortunate marriage, and a rich one — though it lacks the element of love, which will be born later on...

A. Gh. M. (Deir ez-Zor)
Selfish, and nervous of temperament, yet watchful, and not easily taken in. For that reason she has broken a few hearts... A marriage far off, and sudden. Great luck in the lottery.

S. S. (Nabatieh)
Somewhat stubborn..... turned in upon herself, so that she is an obscure secret understood only by one who discovers it for himself. With the days, her suppleness will grow and her view of life will take on a realistic stamp... A marriage far off, and it will take place abroad, or with a stranger...

W. Sh. (Nabatieh)
Mature. Free of thought, loving and loyal to a far degree. For that reason she needs a measure of caution, lest a bad trick be played upon her. A love marriage — but there is no need for haste...

R. H. (Nabatieh)
Sensitive, and her sensitivity leads her to go by what feeling tells her; she is, then, sentimental, and loves play in the open air..... She is not thinking of an early marriage; marriage is the last thing she thinks of.

M. M. A. (Baghdad)
A scattered and complicated nature. She does not quite know what she means or where she is heading. You take life as you are... A philosophic turn, and a taste that rushes toward beauty and the love of nature. If only you would relax this watchfulness, you would succeed. A very firm marriage, and unexpected.

Dh. W. (Koura)
An insistent and withdrawn nature. Wary at times. She hides her secrets jealously. She often bears grudges and does not forgive easily..... a feverish misleading with intent to betray. She sways many heads..... and trusts no one — wholly, later on — but her husband and her children. Your marriage will set tongues wagging, but you will triumph all along the line.

L. M. Y. Q. (Safed, Palestine)
A merry nature, pulsing with life. She loves company, yet she does not possess the firmness needed to know what others harbor for her. A little thought would do you good... It is thought that you fear marriage. A bright future and abundant luck.

S. A. (Baghdad)
A sweet and good nature. She desires peace and turns away from the world and its delights. She inclines to the unusual and loves change and variety. She could be an excellent mother, and without fail a good wife. Marriage to a merchant.

A. K.
A free and upright nature... order is needed... it moves in a straight line toward the goal, and moreover knows where it is going... If you would lessen this gravity, or "aloofness," in your relations, it would go better... A love marriage, with some anxiety in it... a long life.

Ihsan D. (Beirut)
A willful nature, to a degree that places it in the ranks of the men... very ambitious... she harbors a heart of gold, and a very deep affection for whoever knows how to discover it... A rich marriage... a middling life, and one without idle hours.
