The Kindergarten Party of the Lebanese Women's League

The kindergarten of the Lebanese Women's League held its annual party on June 16 and 17, 1947, attended by His Excellency the Prime Minister and a distinguished company of ladies, young misses, and gentlemen. After the president of the kindergarten, Mrs. Edvick Jureidini Shayboub, opened the party with kind words, the program of the party proceeded, and it proved a splendid display of the progress this young school has achieved, thanks to its teachers and the women in charge of it, under the presidency of Mrs. Heneni Tarcha, president of the Lebanese Women's League.

How fitting it would be for those responsible in Lebanon to give this kindergarten, and other useful educational institutions like it, the attention they require, and to offer them the necessary assistance—especially as the Lebanese Women's League aims to expand it into a complete elementary school beginning next year.

On this occasion we remind those responsible of their promise to grant the League a plot of land for the erection of a building worthy of this fine kindergarten. The kindergarten's need for such a building is most urgent, and it is no longer well to postpone it.
