"John Garfield" is playing the part of a boxer in one of the films. He brought along to the studio where he works a well-known musician and introduced him to a boxer taking part with him in the film, saying:

And Annabella was asked whether she bore a grudge against Lana Turner, whose reported marriage to Tyrone was to follow her divorce. She answered:

"I do not know Lana Turner well; I have met her twice at different parties, and of course I harbor no grudge or enmity toward her. If she is not to be the woman in Tyrone's life, it will be some other woman — so what concern is she of mine, and why the grudge? I hope that Tyrone will be happy, for he is a kind-hearted and noble man; and I too want to be happy — though I am not thinking of a new marriage now."
