Al-Irfan

The magazine al-Irfan, whose proprietor is Mr. Ahmad Arif al-Zain, has begun a new year of its rich literary life.

Al-Irfan is today in its forty-first year; for half a century it has labored strenuously to spread pure, free thought in this country.

This magazine has faced Turkish despotism, the scheming of the foreign colonizer, and many an injustice; yet it has gone on striving and battling and standing firm in the field, heedless of hardships.

Its new issue is filled with literary and scientific subjects and abundant poems, by masters among the leaders of thought in these lands.
