Through the efforts of Mrs.
Malaki Haik and Miss Alice
Bardaweel, the second kinder
garten was opened in El-Nasra
quarter. So far 70 children
have enrolled. The kinder
garten will be officially inau
gurated on March 19, under
the auspices of Mrs. Bechara
El-Khoury, wife of the Presi
dent of the Republic. Dr. Elie
Wakeel has kindly volunteered
to examine and check on the
health of these children twice
a week.
This is a brief picture of
the work and achievements of
this society. We hope that
more kindergartens will be
opened in the future in order
to provide better opportunities
for unfortunate children.
