The Woman's Voice Asks You...

The Editors

«صوت المرأة» تسألك... · التحرير

Dear reader,

The Woman's Voice is your magazine; it is an echo of the beauty, love, and goodness that are within you.

And you know the stages this magazine has passed through, from a weekly bulletin to a monthly magazine carrying out woman's mission in a manner deserving of thanks.

There is no doubt that you appreciate these efforts, which have been and are still being made with such elegance and such strength.

And you will be very pleased to know that the opinion of many of our great men of letters gives prominence to this magazine's standing; they read it always. You will also be pleased to know that it reaches all women's circles in the Arab world — in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and Syria — and in the two Americas, and that it is almost alone among women's magazines in working for a goal, and for the sake of a noble mission.

It will also please you to know that the finest women's pens take part in the editing of every issue, guided and trained. And with all this, Madam, we know that The Woman's Voice still has other stages before it to reach perfection, or something like perfection, and without your guidance and your care it cannot reach the last of those stages... So cooperate with us, Madam, and answer these questions of ours frankly:

1 - Which sections of the magazine do you read before the others? (Articles, reportages, stories, poetry, the child's section, society news, letters, etc.)

2 - Which woman writer do you prefer to read in The Woman's Voice?

3 - Do you suggest to us names of women and men writers who have not yet taken part in the editing? Who are they?

4 - Does its layout and printing satisfy your artistic taste?

5 - Which sections do you suggest we add to the magazine?

6 - Do you enjoy the colorful poetry of Michel Trad which we publish from time to time? And what kind of poetry do you prefer?

7 - The magazine has three new sections: "Intellectual Activity," "Woman in the World," and "A Love Letter." Do you encourage us to continue with these sections?

8 - We try to choose the best stories for the magazine; have we succeeded in this?

9 - Will you, Madam, answer our questions, so that we may act upon them?

10 - Our thanks to you in advance.
