It spreads its shadows over the mountain, over the high summits, on the slopes and the bends, in the winding paths, like veils of silk in a thousand colors and one, in a thousand dyes, cast by an enchantress's hand upon the Lebanese land...

... And the sea, as if it were a garden of colors, as if every drop of water in it were a violet fixed upon its surface...
