The School Bells Have Rung

قرعت أجراس المدارس

Life has settled into its regular course in the Lebanese schools, and throngs of boy and girl students have set about their lessons and their studies, awaiting the promised happy days.

And thousands of hearts — mothers' and fathers' — accompany these growing saplings, in the hope that they may grow, and that truth, goodness, and beauty may grow in them, in a homeland whose finest quality is that it is the homeland of goodness, truth, and beauty.

O God, guard the steps of our children, and make true knowledge flourish in their breasts, that they may be good children to You and to the homeland.
