The American Society for Middle East Relief

* The American Society for Middle East Relief concerns itself with collecting relief for the Palestinian refugees. In the picture, Mrs. Eva Malik, wife of Dr. Charles Malik, Lebanon's Minister Plenipotentiary in Washington, is seen receiving "school supplies" from one of the Najjadeh girls in the Manhattan district; beside her is Dr. Bayard Dodge, former president of the American University of Beirut and a member of the board of directors of the American Society.
