Between Us and the Readers

بيننا وبين القراء

From one of our generous subscribers, Miss Hamida Abd al-Hamid Ibrahim in Dreikish, we received a word expressing her admiration and appreciation for the mission that "The Woman's Voice" performs with fidelity and sincerity. She then takes to task the selfish man who will not acknowledge woman's legitimate right in life, and who shuts her out beyond the circle of her home.

At the end of the letter she suggests that one of the pages of "The Woman's Voice" be devoted each month to matters relating to household management and handwork, given the importance of these matters in a woman's life, however cultured and advanced she may be.

The Woman's Voice thanks Miss Hamida Ibrahim for her confidence and appreciation. And while reminding her of the importance that The Woman's Voice attaches to household management, it acknowledges that it has never neglected this section, and it hopes to give this section special care, in recognition of the soundness of this suggestion.

To Mrs. Asma al-Qusus – Amman
Thank you for sending the collection of artistic pictures; they have been of great use to us.
Your confidence in the magazine redoubles our zeal.
Our deep thanks.

To Miss A. Abi Rafi'.
You wonder at not reading anything by Mrs. Afifa Saab in The Woman's Voice. In truth there are women of letters who carry real weight in Lebanon; we, like you, wonder why they do not publish...
"The Woman's Voice" is the magazine of the Arab woman in Lebanon and outside Lebanon. It welcomes the articles of women writers, and spares no effort to get in touch with them.
