The Tenth Anniversary of Rihani

A grand ceremony was held in the West Hall of the American University of Beirut on January 19, in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of Ameen Rihani.

The ceremony was under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of National Education, who gave an address on Rihani and on the message of Lebanon and the Arabs which he carried to the West. Then there spoke in succession: Mr. Muhyi al-Din al-Nsouli, on Rihani and the press; then Mr. Jirji Niqula Baz, on Rihani's life; then Dr. William Nimah, who delivered the address of the emigrants; then Mr. Mustafa al-Tabatabai, on Rihani and Saadi; then Mr. Salah Labaki, who recited a poem on Rihani; then Mr. Jamil Jabr, on Rihani's spiritual fathers; then Mrs. Edvick Jureidini Shayboub, who read the passage "al-Najwa" by Rihani.
