Social News: An Engagement, a Wedding, and a Newborn

* On the 15th of last August the engagement was concluded of the highly refined Miss Hilda Wadih Boutros to Mr. Albert Khoury, one of the proprietors of the establishments of "Ibrahim Esber al-Khoury & Sons," at a party held at the fiancée's home in Bhamdoun and confined to the kin of the two families.

To the happy betrothed pair, our most sincere congratulations — and may the joys be crowned complete.

* On Thursday, August 16, the marriage was celebrated of Mr. Bahjat Khouli to the noble Miss Widad Azouri. The crowning ceremony took place at the groom's house in Ras Beirut, conducted by the pastor of the Evangelical community, His Grace the Reverend Farid Awda. When the ceremony was over, the bride and groom left Beirut to spend their honeymoon days among the immortal Cedars. To Mr. and Mrs. Khouli, our heartfelt congratulations — comfort and children!

* God has blessed Mrs. Salwa, wife of Mr. Samir Philip Mishalani, with a baby boy, whom they have named "Philip" for good augury after his grandfather. May God keep little Philip in the shade of his noble parents.
