In Washington and New York

Last July Mrs. Loreen Rihani and Mrs. Adelaide Rishani left Beirut on the lines of the airline "TWA" for a visit to the United States and Canada, to attend the conference of the world's women's societies for the betterment of the countryside. This visit may last nearly three months, during which the two ladies will study the theoretical and applied sciences in the rural field.

We wish the two ladies a happy stay, and that they may return to us with an abundance of learning, so that Lebanon may profit from their valuable experience.

* On July 18 the marriage of Miss Iffat Nasib Zeidan to Mr. Kamal Fayez Aoun was concluded at a gathering that brought together family and friends; they received well-wishers at their home in Abey on July 24, 25, and 26.
