The Women's Committee of the Islamic Orphanage Association

* At the beginning of last month the Women's Committee of the Islamic Orphanage Association met at the home of the president, Miss Ibtihaj Kaddoura, to hold the elections for this year. The first act they performed was the renewal of the presidency, by acclamation, for Miss Ibtihaj Kaddoura. The elections were then held and yielded the following results:

Mrs. Shafiqa Salam, vice-president
Miss Suhayla Saada, treasurer
Mrs. Salwa Mahmasani Moumina, recording secretary.
Mrs. Hassana Daouk, head of the cultural committee.

And Mesdames Samia Qasim, Zahra Baydoun, and Nabiha Ghandour for publicity and publication. Over tea the members exchanged expressions of affection and confidence, and discussed briefly the most important works it is intended to accomplish this year to lift the Islamic Orphanage to a level worthy of its cultural and humanitarian mission.
