Layla Lababidi and Dr. Ammar

ليلى لبابيدي والدكتور عمار

... At last the friends of Layla Lababidi have been able to register upon her lips and in her eyes the smile of happiness and settled contentment: she has found the prince of her dreams, and with him she has left — contented — the soil of her girlhood and her kinfolk, to make her home in Egypt!

Layla's bridegroom is Dr. Hamed Ammar, who holds a doctorate in sociology from the Egyptian universities, and who works as head of the training section at the international center for fundamental education in the Arab world — under his supervision the workers of the countryside are trained.

Layla was wedded in splendor and pomp on the evening of the fifteenth of November, for her parents, Mr. Salah Lababidi and his wife, issued invitations to a party at the Bristol Hotel which brought together the great personalities, official and civil, along with friends and family; and the bride and groom received the guests with beaming cheerfulness and spread good fellowship among the throngs of the invited.

And shortly before boarding the plane for her place of residence in the village of "Sirs al-Layyan," on the morning of the eighteenth of last month, Layla affirmed that she would furnish her magazine "The Woman's Voice" with a monthly letter on the margin of women's activity in Egypt, with the aim of strengthening the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the two women's camps...

The family of "The Woman's Voice" raises to the two young newlyweds and to their honored families its warmest congratulations and its most generous wishes.
