The Arab Writers' Conference

مؤتمر ادباء العرب

The Arab Writers' Conference met this year, from September 20 to 27 last, at the summer resort of Bloudan, at the invitation of the Syrian government. Some seventy delegates attended the conference, and one happy sign was observed: for the first time in the history of Arab conferences, "the fair sex" had a presence in every delegation — even the delegation of Morocco.

In the coming issue, some details about the conference, as related by the delegate of Egypt, Mrs. Amina al-Said, and the delegate of Lebanon, Dr. Zahia Kaddoura.
