A Brother for Ziad Jureidini

News from Baghdad has it that Mrs. Jessie and Mr. Michel Jureidini were blessed on November 12 with a brother for their firstborn Ziad, and that the newborn and his mother enjoy complete health.

The glad tidings were conveyed by three-year-old Ziad, who telephoned his aunt, the editor-in-chief — a happy surprise, although the telephone conversation was not clear owing to the poor state of the lines, and so the child's name did not come through clearly...

We congratulate Ziad's mother and father on the new baby, though we had been waiting for a "baby girl" who would have her brother's eyes and his winning charm!
