The Magazine "Shi'r"

The wish of the Arab poets will soon come true: they will have a magazine of their own, devoted to publishing genuine poetic production and that alone.

This renaissance is being undertaken by an elite of poets,

at their head Mr. Youssef al-Khal, who for about a year has not ceased holding meetings and distributing tasks, until at last he has succeeded in bringing his dream into the realm of execution.

Literary circles now await the appearance of the first issue of the magazine "Shi'r," especially as it is the only one of its kind not in Lebanon alone, but in the whole Arab world. We wish our "newborn" colleague the encouragement it deserves...
