Children's Day, March 24

يوم الطفل في ٢٤ آذار

The Lebanese Child-Welfare Society is preparing to celebrate Children's Week (March 18–24), which is this year's Children's Day — a traditional custom the society has kept up for twenty years, that is, since its founding. Mrs. Zahia Salman and the members of her society take care that the week's radio programs retain their instructive character, so that this year too they may have their good effect on the hearts of the citizens, and the efforts expended in the cause of child welfare in Lebanon may be redoubled. To this end the society is cooperating with the National Rehabilitation Committee at the American University in holding an exhibition under the patronage of the First Lady, Mrs. Zalfa Chamoun, in which all the institutions working in the field of childhood will take part, together with the various kindergartens in the capital and beyond it.
